Welcome to MG Buck n Bulls, my name is Marcus Groft and I am the proud owner of this company at the young age of 17. My interest in the agricultural business started when I was very young with some cattle and a pony. As I grew so did my imagination, I started with beef cattle to raise money so I could venture into other types of cattle. My father had decided to try to raise rodeo cattle and I wanted to be involved as well so he gave me a pick of his cattle to start my new venture. There was one cow that truly caught my eye; Circle M34 Izzy. She was my first cow that I chose due to her attitude and her ability to raise proven bucking offspring. My herd is based on her as a foundation cow and I choose the sires very carefully based on their performance and confirmation. At first I did not have the money to purchase every bull that I liked so instead I would just purchase straws of semen from bulls that I wanted to incorporated into my herd. After several years of AI treatments to my Cows and Heifers I had raised enough money to purchase a bull in partnership with my father. Now that I have a very healthy established herd of bucking stock cattle I have been outsourcing my bulls for lease at events such as a riding school provided by Gary LeFew, rodeo and jackpot events in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey and here at the yearly practice pen at our ranch. Most recently my focus has been on developing futurity prospects and my hard work has paid off this year with three bulls that have big hearts and strong spirits for bucking.
